FAQs about P120
What is P120 sandpaper used for?
Levelling: Level surfaces, shape body filler, key metal. Typical for Car & paint, Wood, Metal, Body filler.
Is P120 coarse or fine?
P120 belongs to the medium range (P100 to P180): shaping and levelling. The higher the number, the finer the grit.
Which grit comes after P120?
After P120 comes P150 or – from our range – P180. Never more than double the number per step – that way the finer grit removes the scratches of the coarser one.
Should P120 be used wet or dry?
Dry, with dust extraction – up to about P600 that is the standard today: faster, and no water in the metal or wood. Mesh discs and multi-hole patterns stop P120 from clogging.
Which grit comes before P120?
Before P120, sand with P80 (or finer). Jump straight to P120 from too coarse a grit and you won't get the scratches out.
