Sets or individual packs?
Why a set?
01
Matched grit sequence
Each step removes the scratches of the one before – no gap that leaves deep scratches behind, and no duplicate grit.
02
Cheaper than buying separately
The set price is below the individual price of the same packs – worked out item by item for every set above.
03
Top up individually
Every grit in the set is also sold individually. Whatever runs out first, you simply reorder.
FAQ
Questions about sets
Starter set or finish set – which do I need?
The starter set takes you from the first pass to a surface that can be painted or oiled. The finish set comes afterwards: it takes dust nibs, runs and orange peel out of the finished paint before polishing. If you do a car repair from start to high gloss, you need both – the sequence carries on without a gap.
Can I buy individual grits from the set separately?
Yes. Every item in the set is also sold individually – each set lists its individual price under “In the set”, and the link takes you straight to the product in exactly that grit.
Will the set fit my machine?
Every set shows which machine it is designed for, and under “In the set” which discs, strips or sheets it contains. What matters is that the diameter and attachment of the discs match your backing pad – for hook-and-loop discs, the same diameter as the pad.
What’s in a set – and is it worth it?
A set is a matched grit sequence for one project, from the first pass to the finished surface. Exactly what’s inside is listed under “In the set” with the individual price of every item; the crossed-out price is their total, and below it you see what you save compared with buying separately.
Can I skip grits?
Never more than double the grit number: after P80 comes P120 or P150, not P240. Otherwise the scratches from the coarse grit stay visible – even more so under paint and oil.
Are there volume discounts?
Pack sizes are tiered: the bigger the pack, the lower the price per piece. Workshops, paint shops and businesses with regular demand get their own terms through KORNDEX Business – apply for a trade account and we’ll get back to you.
